Background
The Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme is a scheme of last resort. It compensates people diagnosed with diffuse mesothelioma after workplace exposure to asbestos, or their eligible dependants, when no liable employer or employers' liability insurer can be traced. Gallagher Bassett administered the scheme on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions from its launch.
What we built
We built the online portal that let individuals and family members make a claim securely, quickly and easily. Many applicants were seriously ill or recently bereaved, so the portal had to be as clear and simple as possible.
